This guarantee specifies that all work performed under the contract be free of defects resulting from poor workmanship for a the 5 year period of time after the project is completed. Please note, as part of this guarantee, Culbertson Inc. assumes no liability for any failure of the roof system resulting from (1) Acts of God, including without limitation UV rays,floods, lightning, hurricanes, winds, earthquakes, earth tremors, tornados, gails, hale, fire, the infestation or presence of plant, mold, fungi, bacteria and insects or animals or any origin or cause; (2) Use in an incompatible environment.
Inspection Services
An inspection is a limited visual examination of two or more certain readily accessible systems and components using normal operating controls. The purpose of an inspection is to provide our customers with information about the condition of certain systems and components of a home or business at the time of the inspection. All inspections will comply with the standards of practice of the Illinois Office of Banks and Real Estate/Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulations, and the American Society of Home Inspectors (ASHI).
Please remember, as inspectors, we are not to be considered licensed engineers or experts in any specific craft or trade. Failure to consult with an expert after our inspectors recommend such action places any such risk on you, the customer.
Each of our written inspection reports will be provided describing the following systems and components: Structural components (including foundation and framing), building exterior and site grading, roof system, plumbing system, electrical system, heating system, installed central and through-wall air conditioning system, interiors, insulation & ventilation and fireplace & solid fuel burning appliances.
Culbertson, Inc. is regulated by the Home Inspector License Act of Illinois; 225 ILCS 441/1-1, which is overseen and administered by the Illinois Office of Banks and Real Estate. Culbertson, Inc. performs its inspections pursuant to and in compliance with the standards set forth by the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation and ASHI.
Roofing Services
Most of our roofing services consist of a six-step process: staging, demolition, preparation, roofing systems application, clean-up, and disposal.
Staging consists of essential planning and scheduling of people and materials. Demolition includes the removal existing roofing system materials, roof vents, flashings and/or drip edge. Preparation consists of providing a proper substrate for the new roofing system. New roofing material application commences with installation of all new drip edge, felt, pipe flashings, step flashings, counter flashings, and insulation. The new systems will be installed per manufacturer specifications. or the National Roofing Contractors Association. Clean-Up will be completed daily. Disposal is the final step and will be handled in a legal manner by a reputable sanitation company.
